which speakers

hi, i am going to be upgrading my speakers and i am wondering which speakers i should use. i want to use alpine . i am debating over the SPR-17S or the SPX-177R now it will be using a 100 rms amp. and that is for the front. and for the rear i am debating if i want to use. SPX-17MB or the SPR-17C . any help would be apprecated.

seriously, the only way to tell is go to circuit city or someplace you can listen, and compare. bring a fav cd with and shop around. posting speaker numbers won't affect your decision (or shouldn't). i always use a pioneer head unit and infinity reference mids or tweets, crisp clear highs is what i'm after. check the audio section, this is asked like 4 times a day..

no one has those speakers locally. and bestbuy is like 45 mins away and when i went there the type r's weren't working.

yea i know but the only car audio place got blown down so the only 2 places that it where i live are circuit city and best buy.

Alpine makes good amps and decks, and their Type-R subs are a good value. When looking for speakers, I'd definitely go with something off the beaten path.

These A/D/S components kick arsch. I've got the 2 Ohm version of them (Orion branded, circa 1999/2000) and they sound GREAT in my opinion. Mine have been taking an occasional 225'ish watts RMS and they handle it fine.
