Default tape deck to cd player & speaker questions

i just picked up a '97 SW1. i'd like to replace the stock tape deck with a stock cd player from the same gen. will it just plug in?

2nd question. i disconnected one of the rear speakers because it was breaking up. anyways . . why is it 10ohms?!? i've only ever seen 4ohm speakers in cars. if i replace the 2 rear speakers with some 4 ohm ones will i have any issues?

thanks,
andrew

A stock deck should hook up just fine without any adapters.

The impedance of factory Saturn speakers is (as far as I've seen) 6 Ohms. There are many variations of factory speakers, anywhere from 3 Ohms to 16 Ohms isn't unheard of.

If you replace the factory speakers with everyday 4 Ohm models, the factory deck will still play normal. No worries about overheating or anything.
