| What's the best sub/amp out for a non-rape price? I need to pick up some new subs and amps for my car after Christmas, BUT...what's the best sub out that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I previously had 3 12" Diamond Audio M5 subs
I'm lookin for 3 12" subs, around the $200-$300 range each.
For the amps, around $300-$500 each...
I've been lookin at the new Alpine series Type-R and Type-X with the stackable amps...those look pretty nice and deliver a nice amount of power.
Any suggestions? |

| the stackable amps are atleast 400 to 1300 depending on where you look. and the highest watt amp they make is 1k so if you get the type x then you will need 3 to power 3 of them.
know from what i have heard from other forums is that type r's have more sound quality then the type x's but the type x's are way more louder. and ebay has the type x's for 200 |

In your opinion, as far as sound quality, but some real nice bass (if I decide to let it loose), do you think the Type-R's can handle it? If so, how much do they list for now? |

| I have no first hand experience with Type R's.....but from spending many years at Caraudio.com, I hear the Type R's are great for SPL, but lacking for SQ.

| type rs arent bad at all for the price and they will get loud also. If you want nice sq with some good beat i love the new mb quart subs. Sound amazing and still shake trunk when needed. I love my audiopipes too.

To the op, I would seriously consider a couple Fi SSd's. think they would fit your app perfectly. Linky |
