Default New to the board, not so much to Ssaturns. :)

Howdy all,

My wife and I are a cutesie, 2-Saturn couple. Bought a new '95 SL2, then a year later, a used '94 SC2 for the wife. It's a seriously tricked out, Winnie the Pooh-mobile. I LOVE driving that thing; I look like The MAN! But, you can tell it's not my car; there's a hair clip hanging from the rear view mirror and I shave my squash.

Anyway, I used to post to a forum on extremega.com, a site that dealt with Pontiacs and Saturns, but that site no longer seems to be up, so here I am, ready for witty reparteé, sage cousel and scintillating conversation. Yes, as a matter of fact, I AM going back to school to be an English teacher, thanks for asking.

Paul

Hiya teacher! I'm a pseudo-teacher myself - I lead 6 recitations for a 200 level class in organizational leadership at Purdue. Hope to be done with my coursework this semester, then finish my directed project next semester and get my masters.

Bet you're extra glad to have your saturns with the latest gas prices! Welcome to spot!

You're much further along than I. I worked in IT for 8 or 9 years, then decided at 34 I wanted to be an English teacher. So, I'm still working on my BA in English. And thanks to that ridiculously named No Child Left Behind crap, lateral entry will be a thing of the past by then, so I'll have to get my full Master's before I can sniff a classroom.

I'm thinking about high school English, but the wife wants me to teach elementary school so she can put cutesie stickers on the graded papers. We have no kids of our own, as you can probably tell.

Thanks for the welcome. Glad to be here.

Just keep at it. The part of teaching I've found hardest so far is to maintain confidence in myself when I make mistakes, and not let it discourage or fluster me. Same kinda goes for school, I guess.

Default Greetings

Hey there This topic applies to me as well. Used to frequent Saturnspeed as well as other boards. Those of you that are old timers from back then will remember me as Keshik. I sport a built 96' SC2 that has two Solo Regional Championships under it's belt. Just saying 'Hey'. Peace.
