New guy here, '01 SL2 project car/daily driver

Sup guys

This is my first post up here... I just purchased a 2001 SL2 stripped down model, manual windows/locks, no radio (removed before I got it), but it has the dohc and nicer seats. I got the car for $2500 but before your jaw drops too far at the price, the car has 120k miles on it and is in DIRE needs of major cleaning, I swear it was owned by the Marlboro man. There are cigarette burns everywhere and after 12 gallons of water and a whole tub of power Oxy-Clean, I think I may have killed the nicotine smell. However I'm almost positive I'll have to replace the carpet and headliner.

Anyway, enough rambling. I'm off to get to know my new home here.

Hopefully you kill that smell... When I got mine it slightly smelled of smoke but it wasn't too hard to take care of. Rent a carpet cleaner, it really helps. Take the seats out and do the whole thing.
