Hi everyone -
My story began a couple weeks ago, I was returning to work from a field assignment and this dude PLOWED into the rear of my 'beloved and trusty 1992 SL2. Fortunately and thankfully I wasn't badly hurt, save for aches and muscle spasms and subsequent chiropractic treatments.

Rest in peace, old friend.
My beloved SL2 was deemed a total loss by the other party's insurance company, and it was painful to part with it after nearly 13 years and 160+K miles.

I just bought it today (Saturn of Monrovia in Monrovia, CA, same place where I got my old SL2 13 years ago!). Typical hassle-free Saturn buying experience, of course. Also, though it's my second car, it's the first I'm buying with my own money, and so it's great to experience the Saturn buying experience first-hand. I was slightly disappointed they didn't do the cheesy-but friendly "launch ceremony" they did back in '92, but I guess the company has matured obviously.
So far, I love my new car, lots of "oohs" and "wows" when the salesman showed me the features...rear trunk battery, easily serviceable removable headlights, electric power steering and even the cool stuff that my old SL2 lacked (tighter turn radius, digital odometer, larger trunk space, easily accessible oil filter).
Anyway I'm here to share my New Saturn Joy and comiserate with fellow IONites on this board.
