Default whats up new here


hey whats up guys new to the whole saturn thing i was a nissan guy before i crashed my truck so now i have a 98 saturn 1.9 sohc ok frist question i really don't know what kind my car is is it a sl1 sc1 what the hell is it? any answers will help thanks guys

Welcome to the spot!
If your car is a sedan (4 door) it is the SL, If it is the coupe (2 door) it is SC. Some coupes also have the 3rd door also.

thanks its a 2 door so its a sc whats the whole sc1 sc2 thing is that the whole can thing?

Yea it has to do with the number of cams.
The sc1 is the SOHC and the sc2 is the DOHC. The SL series has the same engines too. SOHC/DOHC.

ok i was thinking if doing an egain swap to the dohc its it a direct swap or is it easyer so just swap the head if that is possible

You can swap the heads but u will need some other things besides just the head so that the setup will work. If you use the search button you should be able to find out what all you need. There has been alot of topics about this on here. But overall its pretty much a direct swap of heads.
