Hello,

Does anyone know if there exists an adapter wire to connect to 2005 Saturn ION stereo to connect an IPOD to???

I want to get an IPOD but last time I tried those FM Transmitters the sound was horrible.

Bought mine at RadioShack. Owners manual tells you just what to get.

Thanks....Did you buy your part for a 2005 ION?
Just curious since Saturn told me there was no available port on rear of stereo to attach adapter to.

On my 2006 VUE, 2006 ION, and 2007 ION the radio has an auxiliay "input" jack (port). It's located on the lower right of the radio faceplate. Thats the location the IPOD plugs into using a male 3.5mm (1/8 inch) cable. The cable I use is male 3.5mm at both ends. It does not plug into the rear of the radio.

Thats why I said 2005 ION.....The input jack was added to the stereo in 2006 models which is why I am looking for an adapter to basically add an input jack to rear of stereo.
I wish I got a 2006 with the input jack already on stereo front!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thats why you said 2005. I feel my face heating up and turning red, I had no idea that the 05 did not have the input jack on the front of the radio I knew the 03, and 04 did not have it. Thought the 2005 did. My next thought would be to go to a stereo install shop and see what they can find for you.

Alot of the new aftermarket decks come with aux ports on them.

I seen a sony deck for 89 bucks, and it plays mp3 encoded cd's also.

Toss one of those in there and call it a day.
