this morning my girlfriend took my '04 Ion 2 QC to work and she said that she had a hard time moving the car on the snow, and made a terrible "screeching" noise once she reached the pavement. she had it towed to the dealership and it still there for now.
i washed the car last night and put the e-brake on once i got home (got to about -12 celsius/10 degrees farenheit overnight) ... seems like a frozen e-brake to me (hopefully).
you washed the car ... in sub freezing temps .. why is your water still on outside.. and where would the cable linkage freeze, did you wash the underside also...
so i'm not supposed to wash my car between oct - march. your supposed to wash your car more in the winter because of all the salt on the road. and i went to and automatic car wash, so it doesn't clean underneath. i was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
if you didn't wash underneath, how would you have frozen the cable? those automatic washes also dry the car from the top and bottom *if you don't go to a mexican-ruin one*. the only thing i can think of is the CV's froze and or you had some major ice buildup on the brakes that made the car sluggish and screech. let us know what the dealership says
