Default Canadian vs US Ecotec 2.2

I am wondering whether anyone out there can let me know if there is any differences regarding the Ecotec 2.2 in the Canadian vs US models. I recently had a header installed on my Ion and it leaked like a seive, but I shipped it back to the factory and it tested out perfect. I have read some of the posts and decided to change to OBX from Pacesetter and try again, but my curiousity is, will it work this time or is there some sort of trick to get them to work on my Canadian Ion.

Welcome to the Board.

In theory there there should be no major mechanical differences between the engines supplied to the US or to Canada.

Where was the exhaust leak? At the head or the pipe?

The leak was at the head. They just couldn't seem to get it to close the gap and it leaked at the top. I don't know if it had anything to do with the copper gasket (not sure how reliable they are), but my guess at the time was that they must not have mated it up correctly or welded the collector at an angle or something.
