Default cricket noise with heater

ive been noticeing a cricket noise/ squeaking in my car lately, and i narrowed down to when i have the heater on, and on the 1st speed, then it makes that sound, but if i turn the fan higher or just turn it off then the noise goes away. anyone have an idea what it can be, i havent had a chance to look under hood yet, just thought someone might have had this prob before. my car is an 04 ion qc, with 27000 miles.

Spray three and a half cans of WD40 down the vents.

Yeah.....great idea.

Take the blower motors out and clean it out. More than likely there's lots of crap in it or leading to it.
