Default Heat wraped intake

Since ive put on my pace setter ceramic coated header, my engine bay has been putting out alot more heat i think due to the removal of the heat sheild on the stock header. So my aem cold air intake gets pretty hot after driving for a while. Also its destroying the finsih on the intake.

Has anyone wraped their intake? will this improve hp gains?

it's not going to drastically improve anything aside from appearance. FYI, my AEM's finish went to crap a few months after it was installed, and I still had the stock exhaust manifold on it.

I would see about getting the stock heat shield to fit over that new header somehow, it would help keep temps way down
