Smile Water Stained Seats

I would clean the seats with a carpet shampoo'r (mine has a small attachment head for auto use). Go light on the soap , then use Scotchgard fabric protector. You can spray the seats while they are still wet, but leave enough time for them to dry afterword. I buy the Scotchgard at Walmart, it comes in a spray can, and is made by 3M. One can should cover all the seats, two light coats is all that's needed.

We normally use a spray carpet cleaner on our seats. You spray it on, rub it in and vacuum it off, but it works really well especially if the seats have smells in them. We also Scotchguard them, as its a life saver since you can never be sure what will end up on your seats.

I am a little confused, why are your seats getting wet? Do you just mean from when its rainy and you open the car door?

Mine normally get wet from rain and wet dogs. Which make them wet, smelly and dirty. I can't think of the brand name, but there are several that make the same type of cleaner for various prices.

Default A couple of good ones

I use Bissell carpet solution in my little Green Machine but for quick spot cleaning, Woolite's OxyDeep is very effective. For odors, I swear by Febreze. I spray the seats and the carpets weekly and the car stays clean smelling even with smokers.

I did the carpet cleaner idea with worked perfectly interior looks new now. We had other problems with the Ion, sway bar bushings were bad plus out of allignment, needed new tires, plus the the hail damage from last years storm.

Instead of getting it repaired, I traded for a Vue, wifes happy now, with all the problems the Ion had they still offered me a great deal I couldn't pass up.

Glad that you found a happy solution. With those kinds of fabrics it's normally just fine as long as they are wet all over, and many of the carpet shampoos have chemicals in them to make them quick drying so that you don't get stains.

Just get your interior done professionally one good time and protect it afterward.
