Default lighter fuse burning out?

hi everyone! Well anyone have an idea why my lighter fuse keeps going out? Its the cigarette lighter power adapter. Heres what happened, my cars heater unit went out so i bought a portable car heater that plugs into the cigarette lighter. two weeks later, the fuse in the portable heater burned out as well as the lighter fuse in my saturn. so i changed these yesterday and now my ion keeps burning out the lighter fuse just by turning on the car and theres nothing plugged into the lighter. Iv checked all the fuses and dont know what to do. my warranty is no good no more at the dealer so im just wondering if anyone has had this problem? thanks, any help would be greatly apriciated. merry late christmas everyone!

Check the power socket to see if it is damaged or has something in it or something in it has shifted. Something is causing a short which makes the fuse blow.
