Thumbs up Make your own '06 Ion3 intake (2.4l ecotec)

Hi all, this is my first post on here. I've been reading around alot of the threads and noticed that quite a few people have tried to make themselves their own intake for the 2.4l ecotec to no avail. Every one seems to throw a CEL, whichever one it may be. So being an engineer and an '06 Ion3 owner myself, I was naturally interested in the problem so I took it upon myself to make an intake that worked properly, because every problem has a solution, right? Anyways, if any of you are interested in a tutorial, or play-by-play, or whatever you want to call it, just post your interest and I'll show you how. I made one myself within approximately 2 hours and it works excellent, basically cost me 40$, the price of the filter + a bit of steel tubing. You can take your time and make it look professional very easily. If you know how to weld, even better, if you don't, no worries, I got it covered.

THIS CAN ALL BE DONE WITH BASIC TOOLS. HAMMER, SCREWDRIVER, SOCKET SET, HACK SAW, DRILL, IF YOU HAVE A VISE IT'LL BE A LOT EASIER TO HOLD THE PIECES WHILE CUTTING. IF YOU HAVE A DREMEL TOOL, IT'LL BE A LOT EASIER TO MAKE THE PROPER CUTS.

Let me know, and I'm sure this will put a smile on a few of your faces!
