Hi all, this is my first post on here. I've been reading around alot of the threads and noticed that quite a few people have tried to make themselves their own intake for the 2.4l ecotec to no avail. Every one seems to throw a CEL, whichever one it may be. So being an engineer and an '06 Ion3 owner myself, I was naturally interested in the problem so I took it upon myself to make an intake that worked properly, because every problem has a solution, right?

Anyways, if any of you are interested in a tutorial, or play-by-play, or whatever you want to call it, just post your interest and I'll show you how. I made one myself within approximately 2 hours and it works excellent, basically cost me 40$, the price of the filter + a bit of steel tubing. You can take your time and make it look professional very easily. If you know how to weld, even better, if you don't, no worries, I got it covered.
THIS CAN ALL BE DONE WITH BASIC TOOLS. HAMMER, SCREWDRIVER, SOCKET SET, HACK SAW, DRILL, IF YOU HAVE A VISE IT'LL BE A LOT EASIER TO HOLD THE PIECES WHILE CUTTING. IF YOU HAVE A DREMEL TOOL, IT'LL BE A LOT EASIER TO MAKE THE PROPER CUTS.
Let me know, and I'm sure this will put a smile on a few of your faces!
