Default Question about my ion.

I recently purchased an ion and had a question about something i just recently noticed. When i go to push on the brake when the car is in park it has to release the shift lock control in order to put the car into reverse. Well i have noticed a clicking sound when i push on the brake right below the shifter area; it’s not horribly loud but noticeable. I know this sound is supposed to be there on any vehicle with this feature most have it now days, but how loud should it be? Other than the noise when you push on the break to put it into reverse it has no other problems. Could this just mean it’s loud? or a possible issue? Any help would be great. Thanks.
