don't take this the wrong way, and i could be wrong, but i'm sure it'll be said...$2000 isn't much to be working with when trying to turbo a non-turbo equiped vehicle. I'm not saying it can't be done, but you definately want to do some research...and lots and lots of reading. I do know, GM makes a performance upgrade for the 2.2L ecotec that bolts straight up. It's supposed to take the 145hp from the 2.2L to 200hp. I'm not sure on the cost though.

It's in there that you'll find it.

2 grand is not enough....unless you use ebay parts for the entire system.

save some more money, and make it worth while if you're going to do it.

I'm going to be the 3rd person to say $2,000.00 is not enough for a reliable setup. The short of it:

$4,000 builds a high-boost, or very reliable mid-boost turbo setup.
$2,500 builds a decent mid-boost setup, but reliability is an issue. DD beware.
$1,500 will get you turbocharged, but you will damage something.

Don't got cheap unless you really don't care about the car.
