Default Advice on price range

I am thinking highly of getting a Vue in the next few months. While I like the sounds of the new 2008, I really don't want to end up with a new car payment right now. So my thought is to look around and try to find a good deal on a 2003/2004 used model. What I'm hoping someone will help with is to give me a good idea of what price range to expect to pay. That way I'll know if I'm hitting a good deal, too. Thanks for any help!

Depending of course on the condition of the car and how many miles it has on the clock, you might hit on something as low as $12k, but it might increase to $15k or more if it is low mileage and really gentle use and so on. You really need to take it more on a case by case basis.

Cost is definitely a per car basis and is a mixture of condition, mileage, and original specifications. You can use an online generator like kelly blue book to find a range, but prices could be lower, higher, or anywhere in between based on the exact car. Also take into account your insurance rates as they can ruin your budget if you're changing drastically with a new car.

Case by case does sound good. I have seen some cars in general with higher miles but lower asking price just b/c the person did not want to worry about upsetting the new owner with the miles. If you can handle it I have managed a car before with a ton of miles on it, but it lasted for 10 years and I got it for like maybe 11k? It depends on what your budget it and how you can work with what is out there right now. Are you checking all local places or online too?

Default Not really looking online too much

I've mostly been looking around locally as it's much easier to be able to go take a look or a test drive that way. I don't need it right away so I can take my time and watch for a particularly good deal. I asked the question to just get a rough idea of what to expect so that I can recognize a good deal when I do spot one.
