Default towing a camper

do i need a trans cooler to tow a small pop up camper?

hi! welcome to the spot,

in my non-professional opinion, i would say, only if your going to be towing it fully loaded alot and continously.

Last summer we took our V6 AWD Vue from Chicago to Boise via Yellowstone, pulling a 2000lb + Coleman popup. Ran great, a little slow up the passes, but that is to be expected. No trans cooler installed, but when we got home I had the trans serviced just because I think that is the best way to go. Regular fluid changes are better than coolers IMHO.
