Default 1993 saturn sl1 trans

im still having problems with my transmission, the same upshift late/early, downshift late/early and shiftting overall at a high rpm if it shifts at all. and i keep hearing alot of different things that it could be. trans lockup solenoid, shift solenoid, trans speed sensor, unstable voltage to the trans, bad connection/connectors, ECTS, just way too much. is there anything i should begin with and go from there? i really need help with this before my trans burns itself up. any help is appreciated.

Vitals???

ECTS First. Replace the one with the two wire connector.

Then Fluid and Filter change.

Then clean/check all connections to the tranny.

If problem persists check your alternator.

i had a feeling the alternator could be doing it but i wasnt sure. the lights dim slightly when i hit the brakes every time i hit the brakes. and the battery is brand new as of 2 months ago. ECTS is new, brass, and i just cleaned the connections to ALL sensors on the engine/trans. the trans speed sensor (trans temp sensor) casing where the plug goes in is cracked, so im getting a new one. otherwise ill have the alternator tested. do you think if the trans isnt getting enough voltage it will only kick into gear part way? its not slipping, but it seems like it doesnt kick into gear all the way, and sometimes it kicks out of gear and just revs. lockup solenoid maybe?

First most common sign of a dying alternator.

These trannys are VERY picky about proper voltages.
