Default 93 SW2 Timing chain problem

I bought a SW2 a few month ago. After changing the oil me and a friend figured out, that the timing chain is bad. My friend is a real car maniac and he dis- and reassembled a lot of engines. So we got a kit and opened the engine.
When we took out the chain we saw that the real problem was that the one tightener on the bottom didn't get oil and because of that didn't tightened the chain proper.
After changing the chain, tighteners and so on everything worked very well... till today. After 2000miles the noise is back and even worse. It's definitely the chain but before we take the whole engine apart again I wanted to ask if somebody heard something before and knows what the problem could be.

Welcome to the Board.

If you are sure it is the timing chain then about the only thing to do is to go back in and have a look at things. Something has obviously let go and you need to check it out before the chain lets go and you take out your valve train.

+1. If your pretty confident its the chain then dont even start the car untill you get the cover off and take a look at it. These are interference motors and your definetly snap some valves off the timing goes.

When putting on the cover be sure not to cover up the oil return hole with RTV. its at the bottom of the cover. Goodluck!
