Default 95 SL1 Problem?

I noticed a noise from under my hood that sounds like a small electric motor running. I can here it when I am in nuetral all the time or when I shift into drive or reverse it will be on for a second or two if I stay on the brake when I take off the noise is always there. Checking under the hood it sounds like it is coming from the tranny area. Is this normal or something that needs attention? Thanks

Automatic or manual?

Auto:
Could just be the solenoids working. Ive heard they make a buzzing noise.
When was the last time you changed your tranny fluid?

Auto. Just bought it. Has a sticker under the hood says tranny was flushed 6/03 44000 miles. It now has 62000 miles. How often should I flush or change the oil and is flush as good as changing. Thanks for the info really appreciated.

Many recommend changing it every 30K. However some even say every 10K to avoid any tranny problems. Personally i recommend every 4th or 5th oil change (every 12K or 15K). And do not flush the tranny. A simple drain and refill will surfice.
