Default '96 SL2 Hitch Install

Hey all,

Might be an odd question for this crew, but does anyone have experience with installing a OEM or Aftermarket hitch assembly on a 1996-class SL2? I'm not looking to haul a trailer, but looking for something to hold a hitch mounted bike rack. I've seen a few aftermarket ones on the 'net which are rated to about 200-300lbs, which is well within my needs, but I wanted to see if anyone had experience installing one or has any opinions otherwise.

TIA.

no opinions or experiance, but ive found alot of them online also that say they "just bolt on"

from being under my car, im not sure that theres very many places under there that it could "just bolt on"

ive heard that some of the hitches require you to cut a hole in your back bumper in order for it to fit..

you also might wanna check out your local u haul dealer.. they supposidly pride them self on installing safe hitches..

Default will a Satty pull anything???

but of course, i have had a hitch on my 97SW since right after i bought it, and it hauls a neat 4x8 trailer with sides and rear gate, used for dump runs and has a custom rack for hauling lumber too.

it is pretty much an easy bolt on, except for the one bolt my the right rear exhaust area, you do have to drill four holes, but otherwise fairly easy.

it would be funny if you saw a satty wagon towing a satty sedan who, in turn, was hitched up to a satty coupe, all being pulled by a relay.

HAHA!

...nevermind.
