Well, just as I had an MP2 in Lindsey, Jessica is going to get one too.
So today I picked up a low-milage MP2 transmission, pair of ignition coils (still attached to the transmission), and a nice throttle body for an even $200. Not a bad deal in my mind, considering almost exactly one year ago I paid $275 for an MP2 transmission alone.
Now for my first bore-out project on the throttle body...
And I get to tear down the transmission and clean it all off, since it's dirty and grimy as all hell.
While at the guy's shop, I asked about some rear-wheel disk brakes. He recommended me to another guy he used to work for, said that he'd almost positively have a pair of calipers, rotors, etc. He also quoted me at around $300 to install the transmission and a set of Eibach springs. I wonder if he'd be willing to put some rear-wheel disks on for me too at that price... Gotta make a deal somehow.
By the way... He's still got the following:
1) 97+ LLO (DOHC), cracked block (thrown rod), alternator, power steering pump, intake manifold/throttle body, exhaust manifold, starter. Would be good if you just wanted some heads and an intake manifold or something.
2) 02 LLO (DOHC), runs fine, alternator, power steering pump, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, no throttle-body (I got it :P). Has an MP7 (automatic) transmission still attached.
3) An assortment of SOHC engines, some with transmissions still attached.
Oh yeah, he's in Glendale, around 67th Ave. and Northern. If you want an address or phone number, PM or AIM me or something.
