| Auto Tranny Performance Switch There is a 2 position switch at the automatic transmission shifter, labeled Perform/Normal.
Can someone tell me what this is ?

| In performance mode it will hold a gear until higher RPM, and shift more quickly, which should increase acceleration. Regular mode, of course, generally shifts earlier and more smoothly, and is more economical. Often if you floor it in regular mode, though, it will act like performance mode anyway. |

well, i believe its 7k. i had some stuffed animal sitting on my dash [blocking the tempurature gauge and some of the RPM gauge] for a while..

How'd you make it to 7000 rpms when the redline is 6500. I can't make mine go over redline even if i try. |

| My '01 only goes up to around 6300 or so then shifts. I like how our Saturns let you go all the way to redline to shift, I've driven quite a few auto compacts that weren't so generous.

| I've seen 7300RPM (in low 2) in my old 1996 SL-2 auto, and an indicated 123MPH (in Drive), can you say NO limiters with the auto?
My 2001 Manual steps out at 6750RPM, and around 110MPH...

| i have hit 7250 in D2 in my 92 sc2 but then it hits fuel cut, for those people with a auto tranny, if your looking to shift better and harder i reccomend changing your tranny fluid to B&M Trick Shift, i chirp second gear on just a stock engine with a cai
