Default battery question


hi, i have a question about batterys. do batterys make contact with the terminal when you screw it in or when the washer like thing on the cables make contact with the exposed metal part.

i think that both ways will hit the exposed electrode

any terminal metal to cable connector metal contact creates a transfer of electricity

ok so i just wondering because autozone finally got in my yellow top battery and i was upgrading my main electrical wire and i planed on using the top mounts for the alternator and the wire going into the fuse box and then use the side post just for my system abd the only side post wire connetors are 5/16" hole for a long bolt.
