Default Canuck Springs...Do I need to buy a camber kit?

I am looking at buying the Canuck Motorsports lowering springs. I am think of going with the 2" drop. Do you need to get a camber kit when you lower the car or can you just get an alignment without it?

Also if dropped 2" do you think I will have rubbing problems with my 17" rims (205/45/17)

I was going to go with eibach but i can buy kyb struts and canuck springs for the same price as just the eibach springs.

Thanks for the answers

Shawn

From what I heard, the CM springs are very similiar to the Sprint 2" drop springs, which I am currently rocking.

No camber kit necessary...just pick up some KYB's and it rides like a champ

My 205/40/17's have plenty of clearance. 215/45/17's fit just fine, too, so you won't have any problems.

Thanks, that's exactly the info i needed.

How was the ride before you upgraded to the kyb struts? All I have is factory struts and don't have the money to upgrade them right now. My factory setup, rides very smooth and the factory struts have 93,000km on them.

I was leaning to eibachs and keeping the factory struts, but I can get the canucks for 200.00 cheaper the eibachs.

Put the $200 into some kyb's If money is tight, upgrade the front two and leave the back two alone...that should be around $100

I upgraded springs and shocks at the same time. You're going to bounce around on stock struts because they don't have the extra dampening stiffness required for those stiffer springs.

Correct me if i'm wrong but this is what i was told, kybs are 10% stiffer in the front and they are the same as rear stock ones.

Is that true??

No...they're 20-30% stiffer in the front and close to stock in the rear...thus, if you're going to be cheap, at least do the front two.

nah, it's only about 10% give or take.

the rears are about the same (give or take).

Spring Tech (on ebay) were supposedly really good, but last i heard they weren't in production anymore.

are you going off of what they said on their site, or real world.

Because if you are going by statistics alone, then i'm at about 139 HP with my intake alone. Now take both into real world consideration, you will know that the rates are not much different (macphersons vs. kyb).

Just as AEM or weapon-r says 15 HP over stock, it doesn't mean you'll get it. Just as HKS says 7 doesn't mean it's guaranteed.

Essentially the kyb's are nothing more than a cheaper stock replacement.
