Default Does this botton do ANYthing?

I was wondering if and if yes how the suspension (botton) works? (not the actual botton ) Also, the traction control-how well does it work? (I personally don't like traction control)

i have a developed a ritual if you will i get in the car i turn it off almost everytime, unless the weather is not so good, example rain or snow... i really don't like how it cuts power off but it helps in the snow greatly...just my thoughts.

The way the traction control button works is that once the computer senses one or more of your front wheels spinning, it bogs the engine down so the tires spin slower, creating more traction. In snow, i put the trans in 2nd gear and go up from there.

No, that's what traction control does. cuts engine power by retarding spark. more expensive systems apply the brake on the offending wheel, some do both. The button turns it off. Then you can spin your tires.

I never turn of traction control unless I am stuck and need to spin my wheels while someone pushes my car. It works well in snow like it did a month ago.

Why would you wanna spin your tires to get out of snow? Traction is better for getting unstuck. This is why people destroy transmissions.

Oh, and you obviously have a stock car, traction control and abs on Saturns suck.

Humorously enough, sometimes it's nice to be able to spin the tires. Toyota has been getting reports about people getting upset with their Priuses because the traction control shuts down the wheels completely in snow sometimes, and there's no button to turn it off. They're just left unable to move at all. lol

We still don't know what the original poster was talking about with this "suspension" button. Maybe it's the tranny "performance" button?

Also known as "NOS from the factory."
