Default A few questions

I know this is more of a noobish post but I had to ask.

1) Ive been racing other cars on the road for quite a while and have noticed that at redline (6.5) I really start to lose alot of power. Im thinkin if it is better to shift at maybe 6 now instead? what do other people shift at when racing?

2) When I shift from 3rd to 4th, I notice a huge difference in power from say... 90+ I know it is stupid as heck to go this fast and I really never do (so why even ask?) but i want to know if the short ram in my car could be causin this over .. say the CAI? im not gonna get one im just wonderin if the CAI would prove more beneficial at higher speeds and by how much? (AEM intakes)

yeah.. with those mods, don't expect your power band to be excessive..

if you really want to stretch it.. invest in adjustable cam gears ( and/or cams )

header and something to tune the fuel up top when it goes into wide open loop.

and porting your TB couldn't hurt considering it's almost free.

A CAI should prove to be more beneficial at all RPMs.

If you're really trying to milk as much as you can out of the engine, shift anytime before the upshift indicator light turns on. Bringing it close into redline, you could potentially trip off the rev limiter and cause your car to actually slow down with a nice jolt.

The dr. speeedy intake is a true CAI, and it's only like $50, but it's only got a diameter of 2.25".

If you need to ask people how to drive you car, you need to play around with it more. You are the one that drives it with what you have done to it, you should be able to figure out where your powerband is the best and when it tops off. Just drive it around, not talking racing per say, but just play around with it, I like twisty roads, and you should be able to find how your car reacts to it.
