Default Fuel for S-Series

Does anyone have any insight on what leaded fuel will do to the S-Series motor besides the clogging the cat and O2 sensors? Thanks

I'm hoping you're not dumb enough to have done this or to want to do this.

ive been using it for the past few months, the car runs great, plus im getting better mpg (cost of the fuel is not a issue), but i know that i will prob have to replace the cat. which isnt a big deal cause i want to get a new one soon anyway, but just thought that maybe someone would know the effects on the engine better.

..his replacing the cat has nothing to do with seeking performance

apparently leaded fuel clogs cats? and that's why he'll need to change it

how do u get free fuel?

i don't think you can unless you are talking to the 100+ octane gas. i know that places auto zone have a lead subistute for cars that where made for lead gas.

Even Nascar switched over to unleaded this year. It presented some problems at first, but it seems they got it all worked out..

Lead, cheap way to raise octane..............but way bad for the environment...

Back in the day (early 60's) when I went to the dragstrip, a stop at the good old Standard/Chevron on the way for some 104 octane (what is commonly called racing fuel today)......the price was usually 3 cents more per gallon (.20 versus .17, yeah, gas was cheap back then, but the minimum wage was a $1.50 too.....)

I assume you either know a distributor or live on a farm to obtain the leaded fuel, yes????

that Cat ain't gonna last for long...

laterz.
