Cool H/O Alternator

Hey peoples. I know this site has pretty much died. I was just hoping someone who reads this will know of a site online I can pick up an alternator from. It needs to put out atleast 140 amps. The car's a 2001 SL1. Obviously, the cheaper the better, thx.

i tried google and found one, but it's $200 and 160 amps. Was hoping to keep it as cheap as possible.

Check out powermaster alt's at summit racing. Not sure of the price, but summit is usually pretty good.

Thumbs up

Went there and did indeed find one. 140amp $162; only problem being that for some reason summit's site doesnt list any saturns built after 1997; so summit's tech line told me to call powermaster directly tomarrow and find out if it'll work on a 2001 single cam. Can't really see y not since pretty much everything else is the same as a 97.

If it works thanks a whole bunch mudman, you rule.

No problem, let me know how well it works if you get one. I gotta get one for my off road truck, 12,000 lbs electric winch which draws the volt meter to the left like a dead short!
