Default How much could I get for my Saturn?

If I sell it this summer like I have planned on doing, how much do you think I could get?
97 SL1
175,000-ish miles (haven't checked lately)
New radiator last year
New front tires a couple months ago
Hole in muffler, so could use a new one
Needs new brakes (probably every wheel or however you say it)
I put in EL guages and they started to bubble a little bit after about a year, so the tach needle sometimes sticks
No radio (didn't feel like getting the adapter when I put in the CD player)
Terrible oil care on my part, I don't know what the long term affect of that is...

So obviously I would get the oil changed first, but should I also get new brakes and a muffler, or let the buyer do that?

I'd say probably around $2,500-3,500 if it looks clean & interior is in good shape. You checked KBB?

*edit* overlooked the miles... probably more like $1,500-2,500... a base car with high miles can be a tough sell...

Even with all its problems? I bought it from the dealer for $2500 and it didn't really have any of those problems...
I checked KBB a while back and I think it said somewhere around $2500 if it was in good condition, which it really isn't right now.

my general rule of thumb is that any pretty reliable running car is worth $1,000-1,500, unless it looks like a total pile of crap. If it looks good, it might be worth a little more.

First, check NADA, not KBB. Being in the car business, I've noticed that no one actually uses KBB anymore. Not around here anyway. Second, Does the AC work? If not, you can count on getting 250-500 bucks less than what you would have gotten otherwise. I know we give Trade value of atleast a grand if the car runs, and isn't completely trashed if the ac works regardless of the miles. It's really hard to put a value on a car without seeing pics though.

Yes the AC works, I don't think it's super cold, but it's colder than just the fan. Exterior looks good, there's a little tiny dent on the hood but it's hard to notice. Interior is very clean, but I nicked the cieling fabric a couple times with my ice scraper so there's a few small holes.
