Default interior


i am helping someone online with his 00 sl2 and i was wondering is getting to the radio is the same as a second gen where you just pop out the two clips in the pod like thing thing then pull up then take off the 3 buttons on the top then just left up on the trim pieace.

nope - interior changed in 00. There is one large piece of trim that goes around the radio/HVAC stuff, as well as the gauges. IIRC, you pretty much just pull outward and it pops off.

well, you may b able to change the stereo by jst pulling forward the center part around the hvac and stereo part. but to do it the full and right way-

open the drivers door, there are 2 screws next to the side vent, remove them, and the 2 screws holding the upper and lower stering colom trim. and then the whole bezel aroung the hvac, radio, and gadge cluster can unclip out. i don;t think you need to, but the 2 screws under the stering colum that hold the knee panel on may need to come out. i don;t think so, but its been awile sence i had it out.
