Default Light on my odometer is out

The odometer light has gone out on my 1999 Saturn SL. The odometer is still working but the light is out. How do I get this fixed.

Just to be sure, is it just the odometer light, or the whole cluster? If it's the whole cluster, it's very possibly a fuse. If it's just one light, then it's probably the bulb.

on the 2nd gen's at least, there are many smaller bulbs with white or black backings that twist to lock the bulbs in. they can be reached by taking the dash plastic panel off and reaching down. you don't have to take the whole cluster out as though one were doing whitefaced gauges.

Yup, there are many different bulbs behind the cluster that light up the different things. should be able to get to them by popping the top of the dash off and reaching behind there.

my odometer light was out when i bought the car. I kind of like it not working so i don't have a bright orange light at night contrasting with the rest of the gauges.

plus i have so many miles I don't really pay attention to them anymore

Hahaha, Donny. Yup he's got it right. Can't tell ya how much they cost, I traded some beat up black 15" Rota Slipstreams for em. I personally like how they look better than the Rotas, and from all the people asking me and the compliments, I think alot of others think so too.
