Default Needle lights don't work.

Hi, I just bought my first Saturn last week, a 2001 Sl-1. I'm loving it. Anyway, about the only problem i have with it is that the needles on the dash aren't lighting up, making it hard to see my speed/rpms at night. I checked all the fuses and came up with nothing. I'm not very good with cars. Any help? Thanks.

the needles don't light on the S-series cars.

vms is right - the needles themselves don't light up. Does any of the gauge cluster light up? If some does, but you can't see the needles, it's probably the bulbs that shine on the whole face of the gauges.

Oh, I didn't know that. Well the numbers and everything lights up, but it definately seems too dark for it to be normal. I have a hard time seeing them. Where are the bulbs that shine on the face of the gauges at? Sorry for the stupid questions, and thanks for the help. It is greatly appreciated.

you have to take the gauge bezel off and then remove the cluster itself.

That's not the problem. The dimmer is up all the way, and I can see the numbers on everything fine, it's just the needles I can't see well.

you could take them off and paint with uv light and replace a light bulb with a black light one.

You'll just have to get in to the cluster & replace the bulbs. They shine downward toward the face of the gauges, so you should be able to find them pretty easily.
