Default Saturn dies at idle and go

It is a 1997 saturn sc2 hydromatic trans I just put it in runs great but I got a problem. When the engine gets warm and I stop it and go it sometimes will sputter and go but sometimes it dies? This almost got me killed the other day so I need some input on what it could be.

Thanks!

Not a lot of info to go on.

Has the car had a recent tune up? Plugs, wires, fuel filter? Has the PCM coolant temp sensor ever been replaced? Has the throttle body and air by pass passage ever been cleaned?
Did it do this before you replaced the trans? Any pinched wires between the trans and the engine?

New plugs and wires cleaned the fuel system out with fuel cleaner the PCM coolant sensor has not been replaced there are no wires pinched. This never happend with my first trans. Did not replace fuel filter yet.

yes its automatic I switched the ECTS out with a brand new one but it still sputters has not died yet sea foamed the motor/fuel system. Im begining to think it may be vacum since if I press on the break when i stop and tap the gas a little bit it dies but im not sure any input? Oh ya when the motor gets warm thats when the problems occur.

How was the connector for the temp sensor? Any corrosion in it at all?

I will check the connector after it cools down but is there anything else that could cause this? I have also noticed that my motor warms to half way like it should. Well anyways im gonna flush out the transmission because I can get it done pretty cheap and it needs one anyway mabey that will help idk. * { visibility: hidden; } .replbq{width:100%}

Do NOT flush out your tranmission. Ive read where sometimes junk that was at the bottom just sitting there out of the way gets stirred up and causes problem in the solenoids. A simple drain and refill is sufficient.

Noticed you mentioned your temperature range. Normal operating temperature for your car is 1-2mm above 1/4 as per the guage.

Have you cleaned the Throttle body? Using the brake uses the vacum from the manifold. As you press the brake the IAC located in the throttle body is used to keep rpms up to where they should be. If its not working it can choke your engine and thus stall it. Id clean the Throttle body thoroughly

What products should I use to clean that bad boy out? Also got a new Fuel Filter not in yet but no harm in changing it since a shortage of fuel may cause it to sputter but im not pro thats my thoughts. And im pretty sure it has never been replaced I have also heard many great things coming from flushing the trans though and the one we got at school is better then any shop in town =P!

Carb cleaner along with some rags and brush are fine.

A new filter can never hurt also
