|  Saturn DOHC, a different engine?
Hi, my 2001 SL2 DOHC engine looks different than any pictures I have seen in service books. It's throttle body location on the manifold is approx at the center of the head with the throat facing up. I have intermittent high speed idling, rough trans shifting and error code that says bad EGR valve.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, Jerry

the service books usually cover through '99, with the side mounted TB | |

2000+ Saturn DOHC engines have a composite intake manifold and a vertically mounted throttle body.

Sounds like time to clean out the egr valve. BTW, the engines with that style TB are the late '99-'02 DOHC. | |

How do you clean out the EGR?
