Sticky Throttle, but only when running warm Just found this site, which looks very useful, so thanks for running it.
I have a sticky throttle and have read the thread on cleaning the throttle body, which is very helpful, and which I will try asap. However, my throttle only sticks when I've either been stuck in grid-lock traffic for an hour or so, or if I've just driven 400 miles. It then starts to stick when idling and the sticking gets much worse, to the point of being almost undriveable, if I put the AC on. Is this consistent with it just being a throttle body problem, or might it indicate something else?
I'll try the TB cleaning once I've driven the 400 miles back to LA (not wanting to get stuck that far from home if I screw up!), but any other info would be helpful. |
