I recently just got a reader. I found that there are 2 kinds of readers. 1 being hand held. The other being on the computer. I bought a bluetooth ELM327 OBDII reader for 90 bucks. Its just a reader that plugs into the car port and sends the data to your computer. By doing this i have MANYYYY choices of software to use depending on how much money I want to spend. Theres free software that just gives you DTC codes and lets you clear them or really expensive software that gives you a command window to tell OBD what you want done. I found this Program called OBDII 2007 that really nice for $89. It gives you many options and the best part....a free 7day FULL VERSION trial. Unlike others that give you Demo versions they give you the real thing. You get every feature for 7 days. Not bad i think
