they're all 4 cyl

You'll find better access to the alternator if you jack up the passenger side and remove the wheel and wheelwell liner.

It's really not a bad change-out, just looks difficult. Took me 45 minutes on my first try, doing it in a hotel parking lot with a lack of tools made it take longer than it should've.

Make sure you write down all your radio station presets, EQ settings, etc. before pulling the battery cables.

Loosen front passenger's side lug nuts.
Disconnect battery cables (ground first of course).
Pull back tensioner pulley and slip belt off (at least off the alternator).
Raise front end of vehicle, secure it.
Remove front passenger's side wheel.
Remove dust covers.
Remove wires from alternator, noting which ones go where.
Remove alternator (a bolt and a stud/bolt combo). If I remember correctly, you'll need a 13mm, and perhaps another size.
Install new alternator.
Put wires on new alternator where they're supposed to be.
With tensioner pulley pulled back, re-install the belt over all pulleys, then release the tensioner pulley.
Re-install dust covers.
Put wheel back on.
Lower car.
Torque lug nuts.
Reconnect battery cables (ground last of course).
Enjoy your new working electrical system.

Default Thanks for the thoughtful response.

I wish I had recieved your great response before I tackled the project. The only thing I forgot to do was disconnect the battery. It was like welding without a helmut. Luckily, there was no damage. Thanks again.

If anything, you should disconnect the ground terminal. Always disconnect the ground first. But I'm guessing you've learned that since you replaced your alternator.
