I have a 95 SL2 and I want to know if the intake is the same for a 2000 SL2? Any help would be greatly appreaciated. Thank you.

The 95 and 2000 DOHC engines have completely different intake systems. Right from the head to nearly to pretty much the air filter box.

Hey Bro...Tiz true

The '95 is different than the '00.
The TB on the '95 is mounted Horizontaly and the TB on the '00 is mounted Vertically.

Don't know what you're doin, but a buddy locally had a 95' sohc and he installed an 00' dohc aftermarket ebay (prolly BOMZ) intake just by hacking off the tubing he didn't need. Couldn't tell a difference.

Cool Thank you

What I am trying to accomplish is a slightly better sound with a much nicer look that the stock air intake. I don't want to spend a fortune on an Injen or an AEM intake. I was looking on ebay for something that will not cost me much. All the picture that are shown for any year SL2 all look the same for the intakes. Thank you for all of the help.

P.S. If anyone has a used short intake they are looking to sell for a reasionable price, please contact me.
