Take the muffler off, sell it, and use the money to buy an intake. That will make it loud. or you could just disconnect the downpipe so you run an open header, you will see a big gain doing that too but it will sound like ass. I wouldn't do any of this stuff, but it's your car.

1. For noise up front, take off the Intake Resonator ... its the little black box, above the radiator, that looks pointless. Will give you a nice growl upfront, but you might suck in more hot air and that will hinder performance.

2. For noise out back, hack off the muffler, wait, bad idea. This is illegal, isnt it? Sorry, your going to have to buy something in this region.

3. For noise inside, put a sound system in. Make an 80-minute recording of your friends Mustang and put it on repeat. It costs like $2.

If anyone has any better ideas, and I know there are better ideas than this, please chime in.

The hot air getting in there is a miniscule "problem", if anything it might shave off a whole 1/2 HP. It won't harm your engine or cause any damage.

If you want it to be louder while still retaining the stock airbox (square filter), simply drill various holes in the bottom and/or sides of the airbox. Just leave enough plastic there so that it'll hold together solidly. Oh yeah, don't drill any holes on the upper part (or anywhere else after the filter).

Don't hack off the muffler, it's uber-ghetto...
