| I would say that most all of us hate the diff pin issue the most. and we love that saturns are reliable, fun-to-drive cars. plus, plastic body equals not dents or body rot

| I love the styling of my sc2, and the different number of mods you can do to it. I also love the plastic because as the person above me stated no body rot or dents. |

| I also love the styling of my SC. Gas economy is great, too (I have the SC1, which is rated 40mpg highway). Stick is fun, but that's not especially saturn-specific. Oh, did I mention it looks great? |

| What I Love: Its an econo-car that handles relatively well, looks fairly decent, is easy to modify and isnt slow like my last car, which got MAYBE 90HP, on a good day. I find it is extremely reliable, even though I beat it up pretty bad, and the plastic aspect seems to come in handy when people run into your bumper by accident, or someone throws something at you car by "accident", or you get pissed off and need to hit something...
What I Hate: Its an econo-car that doesnt handle as well as I would like, has styling that is just off of what I like, and is slower than I would actually like to go. I am still weary if this car will survive accidents, and the name isnt exactly associated with performance (yet). Most other things arent Sauturn-specific, like I hate the fact that I dont have a sunroof, power windows, power locks, a spoiler, MT...
-Cool-

| What I like most is it is very reliable. My last car..."truck" broke down every time I took it out. What I don't like is that its not fast...in other words it has no balls...it lest my truck had that. Overall with gas price's going up, I like my car.(2004 ION LEV 3) :P |

| i was hit by a jeep liberty back on memorial day 2 years ago and it took out the entire left side. both doors, quarter panel, running boards, rear quarter, shattered the glass on the front windows and bent up the front wheel assembly pretty nicely..
and the one thing i contribute to saving my life *other than my seat belt and airbag* is the way the doors are constructed. everyone bashes the plastic but the polymer is just the skin and it's just for looks. underneath they have 3 reinforcing steel bars that create a roll cage of sorts. the doors had the most damage but those bars didn't bend at all, keeping the cabin in tact.
i remember saying after that i'll only buy saturn from now on.
*joke: the jeep literally didnt have a scratch on it, so maybe we should all be driving jeeps??* |

The guy had a seizure and his car drifted into oncoming traffic ... somehow he slammed head-on into a Mercedes Benz SUV and a Chevy truck ... the truch was 75ft down the street with a broken rear axul and seperated wheel, the Mercedes Benz cought fire, and the Saturn was in the middle of the street blocking traffic. The Benz survived fine, just the engine and front end was damaged, the cabin was fine (go Benz!) and the guy in the truck was safe too. The Saturn, however, was completely crumpled. Not even the jaws of life could save him in time. He died right after they got him out. Quote: |

But my parents bought me this one for graduation, and it was loads better than my 90HP Mitsubishi Mirage, so I've grown to love Saturns Quote: |

| Saturns are very safe *for being a small car*. I mean, the S-Series is only about 2300 lbs. That's really freakin light, and it's still very safe. Still, it's not going to survive being the middle layer in a collision sandwich.
Now if you want to hear about a nasty wreck, just ask my friend Tony about when his grandma hit a Metro in her '76 Olds 98. What I can remember of the story: grandma was driving down the highway at pretty good speed, and didn't notice traffic was stopped up ahead for some reason. The car in the back of the line of traffic was the Metro. He saw grandma coming and knew she wouldn't get it stopped, and headed for the ditch. Good thing, too. Grandma wins! |
