Default breather filter


i know this is a dumb question, but i want to know. Can someone tell me what a breather filter is for, and if i was going to put one on thes cah, would i hook it onthe the hose outlined in red.

You would use it to replace your crankcase vent tube.

is that a cone filter on the end of that intake hose?

wouldn't it have made more sense to use an open element K&n round filter in place of the whole intake assembly.

yes... it would have.
Yes it would, but i needed to replace the filter, and i allready had the injen filter from before i crashed my satty, so i just put in on. like i said before, i am not trying to make this car fast, i just like to messaround, and try to learn about stuff.

Yup thats it. Normally there would be a hose on the crank case going into the intake tube so that it can pull in already filtered air. The breather just gives the crank case vent its own filter.
