Default Buy a Saturn at THIS time????

Is it smart to buy a Saturn these days, now that the brand has gone defunct??
Or is it folly?
There's some good buys out there on recent-model Saturns, but even a dollar is too much if you can't get it serviced or get parts.
Am I correct in assuming that warranties (100,000 power-train, and 36/36,000 total) are still being honored for the 2007-09 models, and are transferable to new owners??

Also, does anyone know if you can buy extensions to these GM warranties (at the dealers, likely) before the original warranties expire? I'm talking about the "certified" warranties from the mfg, not the after-market companies that offer warranties.

For example, I recently saw an '08 Aura XR but with 87K on it, for a pretty good price, but I was scared away by the high mileage.

Any comments or suggestions about buying one of these "lame duck" Saturns?

thanks so much for taking the time.

Rick

No Folly

No problem getting parts
No problem getting service

Warranty 5 year 100,000 miles
3 year 36,000 miles

The car is under warranty not the owner

Yes you can buy extended warranty from the mfg, that could change at any time for any car from any mfg.

You may be the only one thats lame in your folly of ducks.

I hope you understand the answers oh and I do hope I didn't leave anything out you really really wanted to know.

Default are all Saturn owners this nasty??

Wow, I can't believe the nasty responses a new forum member is subjected to, for asking simple, legitimate questions about becoming a Saturn owner.
....
If this is what the Saturn owners' family is all about, I think I'll pass on this brand.

Thanks anyway, though.
