Default car log software?

Does anyone here recommend or use a software program to keep your car's logs in, like repairs, gas mileage, etc?

I know there's places to sign up on the internet and input your car's logs, but I'd rather have it on my own pc, for lot's of reasons.

Default Why not use a spreadsheet program?

A spreadsheet would be easy to set up and wouldn't cost you any extra as most computers already have a program for this. That way you can sort by different fields, as well, and print when needed. If you don't have a program that does spreadsheets, you can get an excellent free one from openoffice.org and their openoffice suite comes with everything that Microsoft Office does.

I use a spreadsheet for mine as well, although I use to have a car log from Staples (I think or maybe Office Max) that recorded everything in. Its much easier on the computer although keeping the book in the car was convenient to make sure I remembered to write things down.

Yea I have just ended up doing it the old fashion way I guess. I get those spread sheet type paper pads at the local box store and hand write everything down. It seems it would be better on the computer now since pen doesnt last forever. I do the same with home repairs (it helps when you are going to sell).
