Default The Center Cap Solution UPDATE: Finished Product

We all know that Rota center caps seldom fit over the ends of the front axle shafts. The solution is here.
Materials:
two, 1 1/4" PVC Couplers
Plastic Weld
Your Center Caps

First I used a hole saw to cut out the space needed to clear the shaft in the center cap.

Next, I cut down the couplers because not much extra space is needed to clear and they are way to big.

Next I used Plastic Weld to join the two to extend the cap the needed amount.

More pics to come after the plastic weld dries, I paint them and the Rota logo is reapplied

they are just black rota slipstreams that came on the car when i bought it. I hate them, but dont have the money right now to get different ones. plus they have brand new firehawk rubber on them

I think they look good on certain cars, definately a clean simple design and they are fairly lightweight compared to others out there in the same price range.

Finished them up and they came out better then expected. I showed them to my buddy and he thought they came that way and I had only painted them.

Painted with black plastic paint. I have had alot of success with this paint, it holds up very well.

Sanded the paint off the top with the belt sander and used Plastic Weld again to reattach the logo.

Installed, they dont stick out past the wheel itself, so they look very good.

its been sitting in the dirt for 4 months, and it still got engine problems. washing it is the least of my concerns.
