They're there just incase your local vehicle code requires reflective markers on the side...much like the rear requires atleast some red on the tailights.

wow, i am really impressed. the original white bulb/ amber markers always dimly shone orange at night, nothing impressive, and looked stupid in the daytime, but these clear ones look really nice during the day *the amber bulb cannot be seen behind the marker* and at nighttime, the reflectiveness of the marker makes the orange SO much brighter!

i can't really explain in detail how much brighter and orangererer it is, but can i get a woop woop for aftermarket parts that not only make your car look better, but make it better for other drivers as well???

so at night do the sidemarkers shine orange or white? If orange, is there any way that I can make them shine white at night instead of orange?

yes what i wrote was a little confusing, my apologizes. during the day, they are clear *when you look closely you can see the amber bulb*, and they look great. when you turn on the lights during the day, the amber bulb is simply just a small lit orange circle, but at nighttime, the reflection in the markers amplifies that small orange circle and nicely fills the entire thing. at nighttime, when illuminated, they look as orange as the stock markers do during the daytime.

of course, you could keep the clear bulbs in and light it up white, but due to jersey's crazy laws of policedom, i chose to replace them with the supplied amber bulbs

here's a pic to show! woop for photoshop! *remember, the light would be white if you kept the original clear bulbs in!*

Bah! The "Daytime, Lights On" picture is Photoshopped! Post a real one Jeff!

Looking good regardless, even with the orange bulb.
