Default code p0404, sound i be concerned?


has not hurt anything except the SES light is on, should i be concerned??

I would be concerned, because Saturns don't have a code 404. Did you read the thing right? If so, I would disconnect your battery for a couple of hours to let the code go away and see if it comes back again.

P0404

EGR valve circuit performance---Actual less than commanded.

Most likely cause carboned up EGR valve causing pintle valve to be sticky. Try cleaning it. If it doesn't do the trick then replace.

yeah thats what i have found out, the egr system, would this cause a drop in fuel economy? also is the egr valve hard to get to?

Ona 97 it is easy to get to. look to the left of the intake. there is a cylinder there about the size of a baby food jar with an electrical connector on the top. unplug that, take out the 2 bolts and it lifts right off. spray it out with some carb cleaner, move the pintle around a bit and you should be set to go. if that doesnt help, as stated before, replace it.

lol. are you talking about the blue linksys router? If so, I hate that thing. hehe. It reboots itself about every 2 minutes not exagerating). but the wireless d-link works just fine.
