I wouldn't trade it in - I'd sell it yourself. You'll be lucky if you can pay off the last $3,000 on trade-in, but if the car is in good shape, you can probably come up just a bit ahead. After it sells, then buy the Ion. Be sure to compare your prices, though - it's not much more of a step up from the 2.4L to the Redline, and though I think the 2.4L is great, it's still a pretty new engine, and might still be getting bugs worked out.

yeah my homie told me I should sell it also. It has a few minor dings on it and I kept all the OEM parts I removed............so if I do decide to trade it in, I'll put them back on. The ION3 catches my eye. Both auto and manual tranny's have some kick to it. I like the Redline because of its power.....but the body style sucks!!!

They aren't going to refresh the Ion anymore, I believe they are stopping making them. Should be a new product to take it's place in a couple years or so.

The Red Line body style looks 1000x's better than any gay standard quad coupe or any sedan.

I'd get rid of the SL1.

i dont know y'all..........the redline looks like a bulky box to me. the front end is cool, but the rear end sucks. i think the design engineers should have focused on matching the front end better.....its round in the front and boxed in the back. thats my opinion though. im definitely getting rid of the SL1..........or save up $700 bones and buy an DOHC with 6OK on it.
after all I will be thru paying on my car a year from now.
